My first career was as a pastry chef. I left professional kitchens to earn a second degree in journalism and went on to spend seven years as a staff writer and editor at Sunset magazine. While there, I won awards, scripted and produced videos, contributed to six cookbooks, and shaped an editorial calendar. I've also created editorial content for the San Francisco Chronicle, Chow.com, MyFitnessPal, and others. I authored my first cookbook in 2015 and immediately decided I was tired of writing the word "delicious."
These days, I create content for tech companies. My clients include search engine giants, global cyber security companies, and lots of random work for small agencies. When I'm not wrangling words, you can usually find me in an overcrowded yoga class, camping with my sons, sipping on a Knob Creek Manhattan, or mentally correcting people's punctuation on social media.
